Welcome to NE1’s Tiny Toon
Tiny Toon is a free, immersive cityscape created for NE1 in partnership with Tyne & Wear Metro — transforming Old Eldon Square into a child-sized world of roleplay, discovery, and imagination.
From a miniature Metro station to a pint-sized version of Eldon Square and Grainger Market, the activation puts young visitors in the heart of a city built just for them.
From Idea to Activation
We helped build the vision. From facilitating brand partnerships to hands-on support in bringing structures to life, we helped NE1 shrink the toon for the summer — and create an unforgettable experience for families across the region.

WHY IT WORKS
BUILT FROM THE GROUND UP
From original concept to full build, we helped NE1 bring a totally unique kid-sized city to life, right in the heart of Old Eldon Square.
REAL BRANDS, MINIATURE SCALE
We worked with recognisable local icons — from Olive & Bean to Grainger Market — to build a playful, low-fi but high-impact experience that felt familiar and fresh.
IMMERSIVE + EDUCATIONAL
With dress-up stations, role-play environments, and interactive signage, kids weren’t just playing — they were learning, imagining, and engaging with the city around them.
BUILT TO LAST THE SUMMER
Designed for high footfall and weeks of use, the Tiny Toon structures combined pop-up creativity with long-term durability.
PARTNERSHIP-POWERED
We facilitated key brand collaborations with NE1, Tyne & Wear Metro, and more — ensuring each space had a purpose, a message, and a wow factor.
HUGE FOOTFALL, BIG REACH
With thousands of families visiting through summer and press buzz across the region, Tiny Toon proved that big ideas can come in small packages.
